UNF's newest website For 10 years the United Nations Foundation's (UNF) website has taken a backseat to its multiple campaign sites, and the organization that was created by Ted Turner's astounding $1B gift to the UN played a high impact but relatively quiet role in the world. Today, that's no longer the case. Early this morning, the new UNF website was officially relaunched, a labour of love from all of us at Communicopia, and a huge new step forward for the UN Foundation.

The new site is a huge improvement from where they were six short months ago, when we started moving their ambitious online vision towards reality. We've taken them from a simple, flat website that didn't convey the full scope of their work, to a site that allows everyone to see their broad and inspiring impact around the world. The site empowers the UNF staff to tell stories from their many campaigns, supports individuals to participate in the work of the UN, highlights their partnerships based approach to social change, and through the power of multimedia shows their amazing work on the ground around the globe…all this while looking mighty spiffy.

That's what you see on the outside. On the inside, our strategy played a major role in changing the way the organization tells its story, engages with the world, and asks for help. The website project was their first and most tangible step towards their 10 year renewal plan of becoming a higher profile, more sustainable, and even higher impact organization catalyzing important change on hard to solve global issues.

I'm sending out big, virtual pats on the back to our team for all their hard work. I am privileged to work with a great bunch of people that do incredible work for inspiring clients.

And of course Kathy, David, Victoria, Katherine, Shannon, Phoebe, Daniel, Travis, Annie, and Jenna and the rest of the UNF team deserve serious congratulations for the way they blasted through a compelling online vision and busted it out to make a giant leap forward for their organization.
